Corali and Kick Up
Corali Dance Company
We make and tour original performance work for both conventional and unconventional spaces. We create a new programme of work every two years for national and international touring with accompanying engagement activities.
Over the last two years, Corali has grown hugely as an organisation and in artistic success.
The strength of our artistic ambition and the quality of our practice is reflected in our recent artistic achievements and performances:
Programmed in the International Mime Festival 2020, Sadler’s Wells London, Jan 2020 with ‘Adieu’ in collaboration with dance duo Thick & Tight
Commission from Tate to create a film ‘Dancing to Art’ encouraging visitors to have the freedom to enjoy the gallery however they want in response to the art, Dec 2019
National Rural Tour of our ensemble work ‘Technicolour Everyday’, April 2019
Presented a quadruple bill at The Place Theatre, London, March 2019, with accompanying photo exhibition and industry focused talks
Commission from the Southbank Centre to perform at the re-opening of the Queen Elizabeth Hall as part of Concrete Dreams 2018
Created new film works in collaboration with partners, Bethlem Gallery and National Youth Dance Company (NYDC) 2017
Corali's national reach has more than doubled over the last two years, with audiences describing our work as ‘full of surprises’, ‘exciting’, ‘perfection’, ‘powerful’, ‘evocative’ and ‘boundary pushing’.
