Bethan's Blog: Choreodrome

We started working with a musician named Matt. We worked on mannequins in different ways, changing things, improvising, and playing around with ideas while responding to his music. It was fun to try different things with Matt.

Then we met a painter named Mark Beldan. He brought some cloths with flower designs and other things to look at, like pictures of poses. We used these to create poses in different ways and looked at statues for inspiration too.

In rehearsals, we focused on daisies and mannequins in different ways, thinking about how to stage everything. We played with ideas, improvised, and watched a film to come up with new ideas. We also experimented with different music and ways of moving.
